The Executive Director, Pamela Elaine Nichols, is on a mission to inspire every mother who puts her well-being on the back burner and everyone else's on the front burner to make the switch.

Mother's who put themselves on the back burner believe that is the right thing to do. They believe that if they are last and everyone else is first, then their family, children, partner, and society will be better off. This sacrifice will be rewarding to them...in the end.

But the opposite is true. When a mother puts her well-being on the back burner of life, everyone suffers, especially her. Ignoring her well-being and self-care causes depression, emotional disengagement with her children, distance from her partner, and stress at work.

On the other hand, when mother makes her self-care a priority, everyone wins because she has the energy and fortitude to give of her best to others.

But how? How does a mother put herself first without taking something away from others?

This was a question Pamela Elaine Nichols asked herself after she had a breakdown on her bathroom floor in front of her four young children. After going on a spiritual journey to discover why she made herself last and everyone else first, she discovered a way to put herself first and still serve others. She explains a concept she discovered called "selfish generosity.

During a resent speech competition with Mission Story Slam in Philadelphia, PA, Pamela Elaine Nichols explained this concept in a story titled, "Selfish Moms Are the Happiest Moms". She moved the crowd and the judges to name her winner of the competition. This was a double win! The award money was donated to Muddy High Heels Entertainment, Inc.

Watch Pamela Elaine's speech and take action to practice selfish-generosity in your life.
